these three lap steels were made by metal work technician frank , the photos don’t do them justice, stunning work
This was called the ‘Sun Steel’ and sold for a princely £30 in 2002.
This is called the ‘King Steel’ and is only for playing spirituals and religious songs on hence the crosses and flames. I still have this one at home.
The green one below is the ‘Lucky 8’, it has two extra top strings to accent the treble. This one is currently being swapped for a knockout butterfly sculpture with Woody.
